Artist Statement

My work explores the space between observation, memory and imagination, reflecting on the fragility of both human life and the landscapes we inhabit. Through a distinctive visual language, I combine the human figure with atmospheric light, expressive colour and elements of fragmentation. Figures often emerge from, or dissolve into, their surroundings, creating images that are intimate, vulnerable and sometimes elusive. Practically I enjoy mixing figurative work with abstraction.
